Renella – The Team
The success of Renella is based on our commitment to our staff. We pride ourselves in offering one of the best hairdressing training programmes in the country. Having been awarded Investors in People several years ago we continued to Maintain the Standard as awarded in 2002.
In 1999 we won the Forth Valley Enterprise Best Learning Business Award and followed that up by receiving an Individual Training Award and by being a finalist at the 2002 National Training Award Ceremony.
Anne Miller started it all when in 1993 she won a Regional Training Award. At that time these awards were something new and unheard of.

Young Stylist
Has been assessed as someone able to work on their own with clients and has the knowledge and skill to do most styles/perms and colours required by clients. Young stylists are still working to learn and fill gaps in their knowledge and gain more experience to deal with e.g. colour correction, problem condition etc. and they still show interest in their career and ongoing transition training.
Salon Stylist
Fully qualified hair stylists who have earned this status by proving themselves competent and achieving the results required by Renella through performance indicators. Transition training will be on going.
Senior Stylist - All round ability/Quality service
An experienced hairdresser of all round ability offering quality in service and hairdressing. Training will now take the form of Renella, Wella etc. updates.
Principal Stylist - Experienced/Quality service
A busy sought after stylist with the ability to have a full clientele of their own. Offering clients experience, quality service and hairdressing. Training now takes the form of Renella, Wella etc updates.
Designer - Inspiring Styles/exceptional service
Is a person who can create new and inspiring style with an interest in keeping abreast of new things in the industry. A special hairdresser. Training will be in the form of Renella updates.
Artistic Designer - Inspiration to others/Exceptional service
Is a person who can create new and inspiring styles combined with exceptional service to clients. Has the ability to set standards for the company and influence others to aspire to achieve them. A self motivated person who will automatically wish to learn and be an inspiration to others.
Artistic Director - Inspiration to others/Exceptional service
Is a person who can create new and inspiring styles combined with exceptional service to clients. Has the ability to set standards for the company and influence others to aspire to achieve them. A self motivated person who will automatically wish to learn and be an inspiration to others.
Salon Director
ALISON KIDD
Alison trained with Renella as a Hairdresser in the early eighties. She left the craft for several years and trained as a life pool attendant where she gained various awards in life preservation and swimming.
She rejoined Renella in 1992 and used these awards to assist in the staff training.
She became Salon Director, married, had two children, won a National Training Award and gained her Level 1V City & Guilds Certificate.
She now supervises nearly 40 staff in a constantly changing environment. Alison graduated with a CIPD qualification in June 2006 and is now putting it into practice as Salon Director.
